  • Zora Neale Hurston was born January 7th, 1891-January 28th, 1960
  • In 1928 she wrote "How it feels to be colored me".
  • She graduated from Morgan Academy in 19 and began undergraduate studies at Howard University
  • In 1925 she a piece she wrote called "spunk" was published in an african american literary magazine.
